Wilsons fame grew rapidly in the United Kingdom in the year 2014 in the UK. Wilson was a part of Alison Lockhart in Showtimes The Affair in which she played a woman with dark secrets who falls in the love of Noah Solloway. The show that also stars Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson was a hit with critics as well as viewers and earned Wilson the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama in 2015.
